Meandering Velonauts

30 Seconds to Mars is giving away copies of “The Ride” music video on a number of sites around the web. I downloaded a copy through iTunes last night for FREE! Not only are they one of my favorite bands, but the video is filled with bikes. So even if your not a fan 30 seconds to mars, download the video and enjoy watching people on bikes.

… it won’t be long before we’ll all be there with snow.

That’s right campers forcast for this weekend? Its going to be wonderful white fluffy snow. How perfect that I finished my snow bike yesterday evening (pictures to come in separate post).

I fully intend on getting the most riding in this weekend with all the snow. I just wish I had Friday off.

Friday morning’s temperatures are going to be really nice. I’m planning on riding into work which is long over due. I’ve got my new boots (Lake MXZ302) and temperatures will be warm enough to skip the pogies. Should be alot of fun.

Parts for my aluminum 9:Zero:7 have started showing up on my door step. Its pretty exciting opening all those boxes, and pulling out shinny new bike parts. Things are coming together nicely, and Saturday will be an all day bike build fest. I fully plan on documenting the build, with photos and blog posts. Stay tuned!

I installed new Ergon grips on my single speed. Pure white grips, look hawt. Time to start looking for a white saddle, to make the “curtains match the carpet.”

Well time for bed. I hope I have some pleasent dreams about my new 9:Zero:7. Night everyone.

Its been snowing all day. I’m stuck inside recovering from flu like symptoms. The only one who got to ride in this snow was my wife’s halloween wind sock. So I give you “Witch on Snow Bike.”

For the last month I’ve been working on my short and long term cycling goals. In that time, I’ve dreamed of many new and exciting types of rides to do. My heart beats faster just thinking about them. So far I’ve figured on the following general goals:

• Continue to commute to work by bicycle through Colorado winter.
• Frequent mountain bike night rides.
• Mountain bike with deep snow on the trails.
• Elephant Rock 2010 (65 or 100 mile route)
• Complete multiple road and mountain S240 (“Sub 24-hour Overnight”) trips.
• Supported Kokopelli 3 day trip
• Mountain bike on sands of Outerbanks NC, possible S240 trip.
• Film mountain bike trip in the style of Survivor Man.
