Over and under we ride
In love with the suicide
Here we fuck with disaster and
careful is something to hide
So come give this trick a try
push it faster you bastard and
Over this mountain you glide
No you’re not gonna last If you can’t push it past
Nicole
What’s that you got is that a black Turbo Diamond Back?
A JMC Racing Bike?
Man I wish I had one like that.
Nicole
You stole my soul with your cute little bunny hop, your radical table top
Girl I wished you would never stop.
Nicole
I was only ten years old
Shit I left my cell phone at home
It’s just a broken collar bone
walk it off you big pussy
And get your ass back on the bike
It’s time to go lay some pipe
Or just watch me get nice
I’ma school you on how to get high
Then go home tell your freinds how you bite all my style
Nicole

Is there a love in your life
Cause I wanna be your wife
It’s a bird it’s a plane
It’s a bicycle up in the sky
You didn’t say you could fly
Now I know where I stand and I’m
Tired of life on the ground
Loose my soul when I’m down up your ramp I am Found

I’m finding having music while riding helps me focus on the ride. My legs naturally pedal to the beat, and drives me over the top of the hill. I can’t imagine riding without my iPod. I have a small little shuffle that does a great job. It cost less then $100. Its light, small, and durable (having already dented it from shouldering a bike on it the other week). The main reason I have it, is a larg portion of our itunes library is protected ACC files. So iPod or leave them home (I hate the sound of MP3s converted from ACC files).
Eveyrone’s taste in music is different. My currently flavor is Alternative/Punk. The temp is fast and the melodies are easy to humm along with. I needed a 1 hour music mix, my commute and local loops are all ~1 hour long. I searched my music collection and ieced together the following mix a month ago, and it works great.
Valkyrie Missile – Angels & Airwaves (warmup)
The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows – Brand New
One of the best bike movies made, BMX Bandits. Starting my childhood crush Nichole Kidman.. Nothing is hotter then a cute girl who rides as good as a boy. Ok, maybe there is, but it still involves a girl and a bike. YEAH!
Anyway, I’ve been searching for this song for years now. Not much information about the song, and no credit is given at the end of the movie. I’ve heard its “I’m Ready to Fly” by The Papers, but that can not be confirmed. Here you go, enjoy.
On Saturday, I returned the topeak fenders I bought on Thursday. They didn’t fit, it was a learn experiance. Well its true they say “you never stop learning,” cause I learned alot yesterday.
I learned that no fenders (even the SKS Race fenders) will fit a pure road bike. Wind would bend them into the tire after only a few minutes of riding around the neighborhood.
I also learned that rei doesn’t stock Topeak RX series trunk bags in their stores, but have a bunch of the RX racks. Why? I have no idea.
And a last I realized that fixing a rack to a bike that isn’t designed for a rack is more a pain then just not using one. I tried both the Tubus disc rack and Delta rack. Of the two racks only the Tubus fit, but at $150 dollars I couldn’t stomach the price. (more…)
I didn’t have time Friday or Saturday to write about “stage 2″ of my commute to work test run. So I’m taking some time this morning, after cutting the grass, to write about what happened.
