History

My 2009 9:zero:7 snow bike is my newest edition to the gang. It was purchased and built in November of 2009. The bicycle was deisgned for riding during the cold snowy winters in Colorado.

The most unique feature of the bicycle is the rather unuasually wide tires. These tires were designed for riding on snow and sand. They measure almost 4 inches wide, and fit on a very wide 26″ rim.

The aluminum 9:zero:7 was the first affordable light weight snow bike. It was deisgned as a direct upgrade path for existing Surly Pugsley riders. To avoid chain contact with the rear wheel,  the rear hub is offset (to drive side) by 15mm. This unuassual rear wheel allows the bike to use ultra wide rim/tire combinations.
